IBPS( Institute of Banking Personnel Selection ) has issued official announcment for common test for recruitment in Clerical Cadre into public sector banks. This announcement is made after complition of registration process of candidates for recruitment in PO and Specialist Officers' Cadre.
IT's a good news for all the Bank jobs Aspirants in India. Scorecards will be provided to all the candidates that will give the eligible candidates direct entry to the interview/GD(as decided by the bank) phase of recruitment drives of public sector banks.
Please note That State Bank of India & its 5 associate banks do not Participate in This process and they will conduct separate tests whenever required.
IBPS CWE (Common written Examination) test: November 27, 2011.
There is Negative Marking for wrong answers of .25 of the total marks for the question.
Scorecards
Candidates completing the exam would be given a scorecard Which will be valid for One year.
Public sector banks looking to recruit for Clerk posts will notify eligibility (age, education, test score etc) & invite applications from candidates having valid scorecards. Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria can send in their applications & proceed directly to Interview or Group discussion (Accroding to selection Criteria as decided by the bank).

Eligibility Criteria
As on 1.08.2011, The candidate Should, - Be between 18 to 28 yrs of Age,
- Secured 60% marks in Matric/ Std.10th/ SSLC,
OR
50% marks in Hsc/ Std.12th Intermediate/ Pre-university level,
OR
Pass in degree (any discipline) from a recognized university, as on 1.08.2011
Candidates Have to appear for test from the state where they would prefer to work. Also, in future can apply to vacancies in that state only. Also, Should possess proficiency in the official language of that state.
Written Test Pattern

Payment of fees via the ONLINE MODE
- The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.
- The payment can be made by using only Master/ Visa Debit or Credit cards or Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen.
- On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated whose print out have to be submitted with the Call Letter at the time of written examination.
Payment of fees via the OFFLINE MODE
Payment in Offline Mode can be made by making the payment at any of the CBS branches of Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Central bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank & United Bank of India, Or,
Through NEFT Enabled branches of Rest 13 Participating public sector Banks. From 24.08.2011 to 23.09.2011.
