SIMSR PGDM Exam- KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies Research

K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, started in 1981, offers doctoral programme in management of University of Mumbai and SNDT Women’s University (for women candidates only) and several fulltime and parttime Masters and Post Graduate programmes approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The Institute is certified as ISO 9001:2000 since 2000 and is ranked among the top 20 B-schools in India.

Courses Offered

• FULL TIME PROGRAMMES The Institute conducts the following Two year Full time Masters degree programmes.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
    Admission – Shortlisting on the basis of Common Admission Test scores (CAT) conducted by IIMs, followed by a Written Communication Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview and psychometric tests. Suitable weightage is given to past academic record and work experience.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management - International Business(PGDM-IB)
    Admission Process same as that of PGDM Program as explained above.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Retail Management (PGDM-Retail)
    Admission process includes Somaiya Entrance Test, followed by written Communication Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates.
  • Masters in Management Studies
    Admission through Common Entrance Test (CET) and a Centralised Admission Procedure conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra
    50% of seats reserved for Gujarati Linguistic Minority
  • Masters in Computer Application
    Admission through MAH-MCA CET ; Test conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Govt. of Maharashtra.

SIMSR PGDM Admission Eligibilty

Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks from any University, recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) / AICTE, as eligible for Post Graduate Studies in Management.
Those students who are appearing for final examination in April – May, may also apply.
The student must have completed the graduation examination process before joining the Institute. No leave / absence will be granted after the date of joining for any such examinations.

Selection Procedure

• Stage 1: Appear for CAT / GMATFill Online Somaiya Application form
• Stage 2: Shortlisting of students on the basis of CAT / GMAT scores.
• Stage 3: Group Discussion, Personal Interview & Written Communication Test.
• Stage 4: Final Selection.
